The  29th IOGKF European Gasshuku will be held in Stirling, Scotland from 28th July to 1st August 2014.

This year we are fully embracing the Gasshuku concepts of community and togetherness. The Gasshuku, Parties, activities and accommodation will all take place on a single Campus, all within easy walking distance. This Gasshuku is being hosted by the Scottish Charity, Goju-Ryu Karate Scotland (SC043309). The Gasshuku is an educational seminar designed to educate the membership, general public and other groups regarding the history, development and methods surrounding the practice of traditional karate and the associated health, moral and educational benefits.

Allowing us to live , train, eat, relax and party together.

No need for buses or taxis or cars to get you from your Hotel to the Dojo,. You can literally fall out of bed, put on your gi and walk.

No need to arrange transport for the parties either.. Just get ready, walk to the venue and then walk back… although getting back may take a little longer ..

Kizuna is the Kanji that we hope will symbolise and capture the mood of the Gasshuku. Working with Chikako Kodama, Sudan - IOGKFUAE, and Nakamura Sensei, we selected this kanji for the Gasshuku to represent the bond we have together in Karate, Friendship and the family that is IOGKF.
